What Our Customers Say

Real reviews from real customers across Essex, Kent, London and Hertfordshire.

From our first detailed conversation, it was clear William knew his stuff. He took great care of the fish during the process and left me with a sparkling clean pond, a new filter system, and a clear plan for ongoing care. I've already booked a follow-up. I couldn't be happier with the results.

William turned up at the agreed time on a Sunday morning. He was fully equipped and left the waterfall working well and the area clean. He was approachable all the time and left me with a few hints. All in all he did an excellent job and I can thoroughly recommend him.

Pond Repair - NaturesAquascapes

A leaking or damaged pond can be a stressful problem, particularly if you have fish or wildlife to worry about. Our pond repair service covers all types of repairs - from pinhole leaks and torn liners to pump failures and crumbling pond edging. We begin with a thorough diagnosis to identify the root cause of the problem before recommending the most effective solution. It is important to be honest: not every leak can be located, and not every leak can be repaired. In some cases, the only lasting solution is a full reline - and we will always tell you this clearly rather than applying a short-term fix. We always aim to resolve issues with the minimum disruption to your pond, its fish and its plants. Serving Essex, Kent, Greater London and Hertfordshire, we respond promptly to repair calls and pride ourselves on giving you an honest assessment.

Frequently Asked Questions

My pond is losing water - how do I know if it is a leak or just evaporation?

A simple test: fill the pond to the brim, then mark the water level and check it after 24 hours on a dry, still day. Normal evaporation is usually 2–3cm per week in summer. Anything more than that suggests a leak. Fill a bucket with pond water and leave it beside the pond - if the pond drops faster than the bucket, it is almost certainly leaking.

Can you repair a leak without draining the pond?

Sometimes - this depends on where the leak is and how accessible it is. In many cases we can locate and patch a liner without a full drain-down. We always aim to minimise disruption to your pond life.

My pond liner has a hole - do I need a completely new liner?

Not necessarily - but sometimes yes. Many liner holes and tears can be successfully repaired with specialist repair kits and techniques. However, it is important to understand that not every leak can be found, and not every leak can be repaired. Liners can develop multiple failure points, particularly as they age, and in these cases a full reline is the only lasting solution. We will always give you an honest assessment rather than a temporary fix.

How quickly can you respond to a pond repair call?

We aim to respond to all repair enquiries within 24 hours and can often carry out an assessment visit within a few days. If your fish are in immediate danger, please call us directly for priority assistance.

How much does pond repair typically cost?

Repair costs vary depending on what needs fixing. A pump replacement starts from around £100–£250 parts and labour. Liner repairs using patch kits range from £80–£250. A full liner replacement starts from £400+ depending on pond size. We always provide a transparent quote after diagnosis - no work starts without your approval.

My pond pump has stopped. Should I be worried about my fish?

Yes - a failed pump means no filtration and no oxygenation. This can become dangerous for fish within hours in warm weather. As an emergency measure, you can oxygenate the water temporarily by splashing it with a hosepipe or jug. Then call us - we prioritise pump failure calls where fish are at risk.

Do you repair all makes of pond equipment?

We work with all major brands - Oase, Evolution Aqua, Hozelock, Superfish, Tetra, Fishmate and more. For discontinued models or very old equipment, replacement is often more cost-effective than repair, and we'll give you an honest recommendation either way.

What causes pond liners to fail?

The most common causes are UV degradation in older PVC liners, physical puncture from sharp roots or stones pushing through without proper underlay, and poor original installation leaving the liner unsupported in areas. Quality EPDM liners with proper underlay are far more durable and can last 30+ years when correctly installed.
